Sling TV Now Offers Local Channels in Over 50 Markets

gotham-season-2-FoxSling TV has quietly been adding local channels in a growing list of markets and now they have local channels in over 50 markets—a list we expect to keep growing.

For many Americans locals are as easy as putting up an antenna for free local content but many Americans struggle to get some or all of the major broadcast networks and two years ago they had no legal options. Now with live streaming services, such as Sling TV, you can legally watch local channels streamed to your house if you cannot access them for free over the air with an antenna.

Here is a full list of all the local markets and channels Sling TV offers:

What does “on demand” mean in the chart? I have been trying to get local news in the Denver, CO market since getting my Roku 3 about 2months ago and find no way to get local news. Any help?

Have you tried NewsOn? It’s an app on Roku.

Yes, I believe that they have no Colorado coverage. The nearest that I find is Albuquerque and Santa Fe, New Mexico, nearly 450 miles away.

Do we know which local channels are included?

Well Sling Orange skews towards Disney/ABC while Sling Blue is more 21st Century Fox & NBCUniversal, but many users probably won’t pay double to get the combined Orange+Blue since Blue already has everything from Orange except ESPN & Disney Channel (while adding Fox & NBC properties and multiple streams).

Point is, looks like the FOX and NBC local channels are on Sling Blue, while ABC is part of a $5 Broadcast Extra add-on available only for Sling Orange?

BTW per the chart, Houston is supposed to have the local NBC channel as “On Demand” only, but where is it? It’s not anywhere in the channel listing?

I enjoy channels like me tv, cozi tv, rtv, antenna tv, heros & icons, any chance sling will carry these vintage tv networks

But after several months they still say “Coming Soon” for CSN Bay Area and CSN California. When are they going to get serious and just put the stations on the air or stop talking about them? Incredible.

I just joined the 7 day trial of Sling and am not happy with the channel selection. I’ve used DirectTV Now and will soon try Playstation VUE, But I will be cancelling Sling.

I greatly appreciate you putting all this information in one location. It will save me a lot of time.
