We can confirm from multiple subscribers that Dish World users have had access to Sling TV for the last week as of 01/11/2015.
Sling TV seems to be using selected Dish World users as a stress test for the service. From this and other sources we expect that this is the last test before the Sling TV is released to the general public.
We can also confirm that Cartoon Network will still be part of Sling TV. Over the weekend Cartoon Network logo had been removed from the site, sparking speculation about its status with Sling TV. In response to our request for comment received the following statement from Candace Dean at Sling TV . “At launch, we still have Cartoon Network among the others listed in our news release.”
We do not know an exact date or time of the release but we expect it within the next few weeks. We are working to get some first had feedback from Dish World users and hope to have an early review of the service this week. UPDATE: In the recent AMA Sling TV held on Reddit they confirmed Sling TV will be released by the end of the month.
