Today Sling TV announced a new “Recommended for You” ribbon on “My TV.” This new ribbon will give you updated recommendations for shows, movies, sports, and news based on your personal viewing habits similar to what services like Netflix and Hulu do.
For now, this feature is only available on the Apple TV but Sling TV says they will roll out the update to more devices soon. No dates have been set for when Roku and the Fire TV will get the new feature but Sling TV typically rolls out features like this to all of their most popular devices.
Here is what you can expect with this new ribbon:
- Recommended for You will suggest live and on-demand shows, movies, news and sports to make it easier to find the relevant content, based on the user’s viewing habits.
- Recommendations employ any parental controls set up on the account, ensuring locked content isn’t accessible without the PIN.
- The new personalized ribbon will be available on additional Sling TV-supported devices in the future.
