Recently Sling TV announced plans to start recommending shows to subscribers. You will find the new feature on a growing number of devices.
Buried in your My TV page, you find the Featured Shows below the Recordings and Favorites. This area shows programming that Sling TV thinks you will enjoy.
The nice thing about Sling TV’s efforts here is you have to go looking for them. Unlike other services that shove the featured content first, Sling has decided to make it an option but not at the price of your already favorited content.
As with all promoted content, the recommendations will improve with time. The more you watch, the more the recommendations will improve (think Netflix, Hulu).
This is all part of a recent spurt of new features being added to Sling TV from DVR on more devices to improved DVR management.
The big improvement is a new grid-style guide similar to traditional cable TV, making Sling TV even more comfortable for new cord cutters who may feel right at home with a more cablelike experience.
