If you have been active on Google maps answering questions and posting reviews, you need to check your email. Look for an email with the subject line of “Smithsonian Earth Perk for Local Guides.”

Here is what the email says:

• Click the button below to create your Smithsonian Earth account

• Select the monthly subscription

• Enter your credit card information

• Apply your offer code under “Promo Code” at checkout

• Hit “Purchase” to start your extended free trial

• Questions? Get them answered here
