Today Sony announced a $5 price hike to its PlayStation Vue live TV streaming service. Later in the day, it started contacting subscribers and offering some a one time $10 PSN credit. Now how people are getting selected for the $10 credit is unknown as many subscribers who have been a subscriber since the start are not getting the offer. It does not seem to be based on the package or how long you have been a member. It almost seems to be at random on who is getting the package and who is not.

If you are a PlayStation Vue subscreiber make sure to read the email they sent you closely. It may contain a special one time $10 credit.

Here is the email Sony is sending PlayStation Vue customers today about the price change that offers the $10 credit:

Hello Valued Customer,

PS Vue is dedicated to providing the best live TV viewing experience at the most compelling value to our customers. As part of this commitment, from time to time, we need to make changes designed to maximize value across our entire customer base.

We have made the following recent changes:

Increased Access, Core, Elite, and Ultra monthly package price by $5. As an existing customer, you will keep your current price for a minimum of 30 days. The new price will be reflected on your next billing cycle on or after July 31, 2019.
Added channels to the lineup, including CuriosityStream, beIN Sports, BabyFirst, and moved Tennis Channel to a wider audience.

Thank you for being a loyal customer. As a token of our appreciation, please enjoy a one-time $10 PSN wallet credit, which you can use towards your PS Vue subscription or at the PlayStation Store.
