Here is the email going out to Sony Store Customers:

Dear Sony Pictures Store U.S. Customer:

We would like to update you that Sony Pictures Store will be shutting down its website and discontinuing all related operations in the U.S. effective January 31, 2019.

The good news is that by taking the actions below you will be able to:

Watch the movies and TV shows in your library through Vudu
Redeem your digital codes through Vudu and/or Movies Anywhere
Watch the movies in your library on Movies Anywhere
Receive a complimentary movie on Movies Anywhere!

To do this, you must have your Vudu account linked to your UltraViolet library, and to Movies Anywhere.

If you don’t have a Vudu account or have one but it is not linked to your UltraViolet library: Click “Go to Vudu,” where you can sign up or log into your Vudu account by clicking “Sign In” on the top right corner of the Vudu home page.

After signing up or logging into your Vudu account, go to “Account Settings” (accessible in the drop-down menu on the upper right-hand corner of the Vudu website) and follow the instructions to link your UltraViolet library to your Vudu account.

What is Movies Anywhere? Movies Anywhere is a new service that brings together your movie library from Vudu and other major digital retailers – such as iTunes, Amazon Video, Google Play, FandangoNow, Comcast Xfinity, and Microsoft – so you can watch your movies in one place! You may notice that television shows are not currently available in Movies Anywhere, but you will still be able to watch those shows in your library on Vudu.

If you have a Vudu account that is not yet linked to Movies Anywhere: Click “Go to Movies Anywhere” to create or log into your Movies Anywhere account and link it to your Vudu account, as well as your other retailer accounts.

After signing up or logging into your Movies Anywhere account, click your user name in the top right corner of the Movies Anywhere website and select “Manage Retailers,” then follow the instructions to link your Vudu and other retailer accounts.

Please enjoy a complimentary Movies Anywhere redemption on us! Click the button below to go to redeem.sonypictures.com and follow the on-screen instructions to choose from a select list of movies!

This offer will expire on January 31, 2019.

If you are an Ultra user, there will be no changes to your account at this time. You can continue using the Ultra App as you do today.
