Today it was reported that T-Mobile would launch a free TV service powered by XUMO. That idea was quickly shot down by XUMO, who said that they are working with Metro by T-Mobile to launch a “snackable content app” that will launch next month. Sadly, this may not be the free service many got excited about, but it does look like Metro by T-Mobile customers have something coming their way.
Not quite. We’re working with Metro by T-Mobile on a snackable content app launching on two phones next month. https://t.co/ptAiWAyZ3g

So what is a snackable content app? We are likely looking at an app that will push a selection of content from XUMO. This app will likely come bundled with phones sold by Metro by T-Mobile and could include some additional content not included on XUMO.
Recently, there have been a lot of efforts to bundle apps and content from services like XUMO onto TVs and phones. This is likely meant to complement T-Mobile’s current free Netflix deal by offering their Metro by T-Mobile customers a free TV option.
