Spectrum is Rolling Out Their A La Carte TV Streaming Service to New Markets

Last week we broke the news about Spectrum’s new à la carte TV service called Spectrum TV Choice. At the time it was limited to a handful of markets. Now Spectrum has rolled it out to most of their supported markets including legacy TWC markets.

With Spectrum TV Choice, you get your locals including PBS and 25 music channels. From there you can pick 10 additional channels from a long list including AMC, Cartoon Network, Comedy Central, ESPN, FOX News, Hallmark Channel, NFL Network, and The Weather Channel.

You can even add premium networks like HBO, Showtime, STARZ, and others for an extra fee.

There is no box fee because you can stream your content through their Roku channel. If you want a DVR, you will have to pay to rent a DVR box. There is one catch. There is a fee for locals, but we are unsure exactly what it is. Some have reported the fee to be $3 and some say it is $6. It could vary depending on your market.

According to our readers, the service costs $21.99 for the first 24 months. (No contract, cancel anytime.) You will need Spectrum’s internet service to get the à la carte TV package.

This is as close as we have ever come to a true à la carte TV package.
