Just after launching its TVision Live streaming service in October, T-Mobile is notifying customers that it will be discontinuing its TVision Home service in December. T-Mobile is encouraging TVision Home subscribers to migrate to TVision Live.
TVision Home was a relaunch of Layer3. The service launched in April 2019 that the company described as an “upgraded, rebranded version of Layer3 TV that brings us one step closer to taking on Big Cable later this year.”
TVision Home will no longer be offered as of December 30, 2020. Current customers won’t need to do anything to cancel their service. It will be done automatically.
In an effort to migrate users to its new TVision Live service, T-Mobile is offering TVision Home customers an extended free trial of TVision Live.
As early as November 13, 2020 current TVision Home subscribers can try TVision Live Zone and TVision VIBE for free through June 30, 2021. Those customers can also receive the new TVision HUB streaming device at no charge to replace each TVision Home set top box and lite box on their account. The deal will run through January 31, 2021.
“TVision Home was just the start of our mission to make TV better for everyone and remove customer pain points,” T-Mobile says on its website. “We’ve been hard at work on a streaming solution since we started this journey in 2017. We believe that TVision LIVE will give customers the best possible choice in TV.”
