Update: Tablo reached out to Cord Cutters News to clarify that the new Tablo Dual has 802.11n WiFi. We have updated the story with the new information.

Today it was announced that Tablo the maker of popular cord cutting friendly DVRs is making a new dual tuner DVR. The new DVR is called the Tablo Dual and comes with 64GB of built-in storage. Now you wont need to buy your own hard drive to go with your Tablo DVR. (Yet you likely will still want to.)

There are three main improvements in the Tablo Dual over the older Tablo DVRs. The new Tablo Dual is in a fully reediness case that’s about 20 percent smaller. There is 802.11n Wi-Fi, and there is only one USB port for external storage instead of two.

You will find the same software so no new interface. This will make currently Tablo DVR owners feel right at home.

You will still be able to access your DVR on devices like iOS, Android, Fire tablets, Amazon Fire TV, Android TV, Apple TV, Chromecast, Roku, LG WebOS smart TVs, Xbox One, and the web.

The built in hard drive is a great option but 64GB wont get you far.
