TCL Announces New Roku TV Ready Soundbars & Mini-LED TVs At CES

Today at CES TCL announced a new line up of Roku TV ready soundbars and TCL’s new Vidrian Mini-LED technology to make 8K TVs look even better.

It has been our focus to grow TCL into one of the leading consumer electronics brands worldwide, and with the expansion of our product portfolio offering bestinclass TVs, audio products and now mobile devices, we’re well on our way to achieving this,” said Kevin Wang, CEO of TCL Industrial Holdings. With our unique mix of manufacturing expertise and vertical integration, TCL can now offer a full ecosystem of products, while looking into a future that will create a fully integrated and connected experience for our customers.”

TCL’s Vidrian Mini-LED Technology

TCL says Vidrian MiniLED technology is the world’s first TV backlight with the driving semiconductor circuitry and tens of thousands of micrometer class miniLEDs directly infused in a crystalclear glass substrate. Vidrian MiniLED will offer unrivaled levels of sharp contrast, brilliant luminance and highly stable long-life performance. When combined with TCL’s bigscreen 8K LCD panels, this advanced backlight technology will enable consumers to enjoy immersive entertainment in all lighting conditions, from being enveloped in a movie in the darkest of home theaters to being thrilled by a daytime ball game in a sunlit living room. TCL TVs powered byVidrian MiniLED technology will deliver an uncompromised viewing experience in any room at any time.

MiniLED backlight technology is critical for delivering powerful contrast performance and TCL is proud to have launched the world’s first TV with miniLEDbacklight, featuring over 25,000 micrometer class backlights in the highperformance 2019 8Series TV here in the US, and different models in other regions,to deliver extraordinary contrast and brilliant clarity,” said Chris Larson, Senior VicePresident, TCL North America. Last year’s launch of miniLED backlight technology in TCL TVs disrupted the industry but we certainly aren’t stopping there. TCL continues to drive even better performance with this powerful miniLED innovation and will make miniLED technology more widely available throughout this year’s TCLlineup.

TCL 8K TVs

Because of TCL’s steadfast belief in the future growth of 8K display technology, the company has joined
other leading display innovators to become one of the founding members of the 8K Association. Through this group, TCL has worked with other display industry leaders to develop a new 8K Association Certified program. TCL intends to launch TVs in North America this year that will exceed the high standards established as part of the 8K Association Certified program and grow the global adoption of this exciting bigscreen technology, even partnering with Roku to roll out the first 8K TCL Roku TV later this year, to be ready for the next stage of 8K content as new game consoles and streaming services come to the market.

TCL Home Theater
After launching its highperformance 8Series Roku TV  the world’s first miniLED TV, featuring over 25,000 micrometer class backlights  in the US last year, TCL will push the powerful new miniLED backlight technology even further this year. Taking the lead in global display technology innovation once again to deliver powerful picture performance, TCL’s new Vidrian MiniLED technology is the world’s first TV backlight with the driving semiconductor circuitry and tens of thousands of micrometer class miniLEDs directly infused in a crystalclear glass substrate. Vidrian MiniLED technology is the next stage in LCD LED TV picture performance for unrivaled levels of sharp contrast, brilliant luminance and highly stable longlife performance.
