Roku Screen LogoRoku has posted the top 10 most-watched Roku Channels in 2015. This looks at how many total hours every Roku channel has been viewed and ranks them from most to least. Roku currently has thousands of channels but these are the channels that are viewed most frequently.

So, here are the top 10:

  1. Netflix
  2. Hulu
  3. YouTube
  4. Amazon Video
  5. Pandora
  6. Sling TV
  7. HBO GO
  8. Plex
  9. Time Warner Cable
  10. WatchESPN

Here are a few other honorable mentions that are just outside the top 10: PBS KIDS, Crackle, CBS News, and Vudu.

It is likely no surprise that Netflix is number 1, but many may be surprised to see Hulu at number 2. With the growth of the Hulu catalog, and the new commercial-free plan, it should not be a surprise to see Hulu jumping up the list.

Sling TV is also a service that flew up the list, and in just one year jumped HBO GO to land at number 6 of the most-watched apps.

Time Warner Cable’s success on the Roku may be why we are now seeing many other cable providers releasing services that are online and using Roku.

It will be interesting to see what the most popular channels on Roku are in 2016. One year ago right now no one even knew what Sling TV was now it is the number 6 most-watched channel on Roku.

Who knows in a year from now what new service will be dominating the market…
