Roku Ultra with Remote and Headphones Angle Overhead

We recently asked our readers to vote on their favorite streaming services and devices of the year. In the battle of best new streaming device introduced this year, the all new Roku Ultra took the prize.

The 2020 version of Roku’s most powerful streaming device includes support for Dolby Vision HDR, Dolby Atmos, and Bluetooth as well as better wireless coverage. Check out our full review here. CCN readers were here for the updates, giving the Roku Ultra 51.7% of the votes.

In second place was the Chromecast with Google TV with 23% of the votes. After months of rumors and leaked information about this device, Google finally unveiled the new Chromecast in September. Chromecast with Google TV runs on a new version of Android TV, called Google TV.

Amazon’s new Fire TV Stick Lite came in third with 13% of the votes. The low price point made this a popular choice during the holiday season. Customers have also been loving the included Alexa Voice Remote and the small design that’s easy to tuck away behind a TV.

Honorable mention goes to the TiVo Stream 4K with 8% of the votes for another compact, affordable option powered by Android TV.
