In addition to the news Amazon released for the US market today, the company also had some exciting news for international markets.

Amazon has announced that the Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K will be launching in France, Italy, and Spain later this year.

When the devices make their way to these new markets, they’ll also have special introductory prices:

  • Fire TV Stick: 24,99€ (15€ off)
  • Fire TV Stick 4K: 44,99€ (15€ off)
  • Alexa Voice Remote: 14,99 € (15€ off)

According to Amazon, Fire TV continues to be the #1 streaming media player family in the U.S., U.K., Germany, India, and Japan. With this announcement, the company will continue expanding in hopes of making Fire TV the most popular device worldwide.

For customers in these markets who already using a Fire TV Basic Edition, an OTA update will provide access to the same user interface found on Fire TV Stick and Fire TV Stick 4K devices around the world. This update will give you the ability to use Alexa voice control. You’ll also now be able to pair your Fire TV with your Amazon Echo to control your TV throughout the room with voice commands.
