Beautiful fashion girl learning on line with a tablet and headphones sitting on a bench in the streetAfter Hulu’s free version shut down most of the content moved over to Yahoo View. Now it has been announced that the free ad-supported Yahoo View service will be shutting down on June 30th, 2019.

Yahoo View had all the free clips Hulu had before they put it all behind a pay-wall. Plus content from other sites such as People.com, EW, and New York Magazine. You will find clips for news, sports, and celebrity stories and even comedy routines on top in addition to the typical show clips plus full length shows for free on Yahoo View.

Now with services like The Roku Channel offering most of this content and more you can see why Verizon has decided to shut down their Yahoo View. In recent months some Yahoo content was added to other free services including The Roku Channel.

No word yet on if Yahoo View content will be rolled into some other Verizon owned service. Cord Cutters News will post updates as we learn more.
