The Roku Channel Adds 5 New Premium Subscription Options Including Cinemax & History Vault

Today Roku announced that they have added 5 new premium subscription options to the Roku Channel. Now there are over 30 streaming services that allow you to manage your subscription through your Roku account including HBO.

Here are the services The Roku Channel added today:

  • CINEMAX ($9.99/month): Home of Hollywood hits and action-packed original series. Instantly access CINEMAX Original Series, such as Warrior, Strike Back, Banshee and more, hit movies like Justice League, Atomic Blonde, American Made, Dunkirk, Battle of the Sexes, and indie favorites. 
  • History Vault ($4.99/month): Stream acclaimed series, probing documentaries, and captivating specials, all commercial free. Choose from the largest collection of historical videos with new content added weekly.
  • Inside Outside House and Garden ($5.99/month): Inside Outside delivers the best design shows and competitions from around the world. From simple tips to DIY solutions, these award-winning shows help people make their lives more beautiful. 
  • Screambox ($4.99/month)Screambox delivers every type of terror, from Supernatural, Slashers, and Classics, to Zombies, Psychological, Underground and more. Discover horror you won’t find anywhere else. 
  • Stingray Qello Concerts ($7.99/month): Qello offers thousands of full-length concerts and music documentaries on demand. Give a standing ovation to Queen, Imagine Dragons, Lady Gaga, Coldplay, Metallica, Nirvana, Beyoncé, and more. New shows are added monthly.

Premium Subscriptions on The Roku Channel offers one click sign-up, easy subscription management and a single monthly bill. The Roku Channel also continues to offer 10,000+ free, ad-supported movies and TV episodes, and more than two dozen live and linear streaming services like ABC News, TMZ and more.” Roku said in a statement on their site.

Roku has recently been focusing heavily on the Roku Channel. At first, the Roku Channel just offered on-demand access to ad-supported content. Later Roku added live feeds from places like ABC News. Now the Roku Channel will also let you subscribe to and manage your subscriptions to other streaming services.
