Roku Stick 2017 2

The Roku Channel Is Now Available on Samsung Smart TVs & Web Browsers

Today Roku announced that their free streaming service The Roku Channel is now available on select Samsung smart TVs and web browsers. Now you can enjoy all the same free movies, TV shows, and live news you get on your Roku player on other devices.

With this update you can go to and login with your Roku account to start browsing on most modern browsers including Chrome, Edge, Safari, and Fire Fox. You will have access to all the same movies and TV shows you would on a Roku without the need for an actual Roku player.

This all comes as Roku announced that The Roku Channel is the fifth most popular free streaming service on Roku players. Monthly streaming hours on The Roku Channel have also doubled since December 2017.

Recently, The Roku Channel was also voted by our readers as the best free streaming service for cord cutters. Now cord cutters without a Roku will be able to enjoy The Roku Channel, helping Roku grow their free streaming service even more.

Here is a first look at the new The Roku Channel web browser version:

The new web version of The Roku Channel is now live and can be accessed on a wide range of devices.
