The Roku Channel Now Has The Classic Bob Hope Specials for Free

Watching tv and using remote controlWe often get questions about where cord cutters can watch classic TV and movies. Free streaming services are a great source for older shows and movies.

Now, cord cutters can watch Bob Hope specials on The Roku Channel through a Roku device, the Roku app, or on The Roku Channel website. Until they were added to the free channel, these specials were hard to find digitally.

On the page for The Bob Hope Specials, The Roku Channel says “Bob Hope, America’s greatest entertainer of the 20th century, is celebrated in a collection of his TV specials.” The section includes Bob Hope specials from every year between 1964-1973, along with two later specials from 1991 and 1993.

Looking for more classic content? A quick browse through the categories on The Roku Channel shows John Wayne films including Rio Lobo, Big Jake, and The Cowboys. The drama section includes four seasons of Route 66 and Clint Eastwood in Escape from Alcatraz. Be sure to check out the comedy section as well for seasons of The Carol Burnett Show and Marilyn Monroe in Some Like it Hot.
