FuboTV is back in cord cutting news after adding Turner networks to its channel list. Today, we’re sharing updated information on the streaming service to help you decide if it’s right for you.
The Basics
FuboTV launched in 2015 with the goal of providing access to live sports and entertainment content to users. The streaming service allows cord cutters to watch regional and national networks on TVs, computers, and mobile devices so you’ll never miss a game.
While fuboTV is a self described sports-centric service, you’ll find more than just sports when scrolling through the channels that come with your plan. Look for news, movies, and entertainment channels to round out the content you’ll get with your subscription. With your fuboTV subscription, you can stream content on two devices simultaneously. If you want to add a third screen, you’ll need to sign up for the Family Share plan for an extra $5.99/month.
Each package comes with 30 hours of DVR storage. You can upgrade that to 500 hours of storage for an additional $9.99/month. When you record games, shows, or movies, the content will be available until you delete it, or until you run out of storage.
Supported Devices
You can watch fuboTV content with the following devices.
- Chromecast
- Roku
- Apple TV
- Android TV
- Amazon Fire TV
- iOS devices
- Android devices
- PC and Mac with the Chrome browser
Packages and Prices
When you sign up for a fuboTV account, you’ll be able to choose from 4 packages.
The basic package, fubo, will cost you $39.99 for the first month and $44.99/month after. With the basic package, you’ll have access to 85 channels to watch on TV or with the mobile app.
If you’re looking for more, you can choose the fubo Extra package which costs $44.99 for the first month and $49.99/month after. This package includes over 100 channels.
- The fubo Latino package has 16 channels for $17.99/month.
- The fubo Portugues package has 5 channels for $19.99/month.
Each package comes with a 7 day free trial, so you can decide whether the streaming service is worth the monthly cost before committing to a monthly plan.
Add-Ons
In addition to the channels offered with each fuboTV package, you can also add more channels based on your specific interests. These are the add-on options you can choose from.
- Fubo Cycling: 6 channels, $11.99/month
- International Sports Plus: 5 channels, $5.99/month
- Sports Plus: 21 channels, $8.99/month
- Adventure Plus: 6 channels, $4.99/month
- Showtime: 9 channels, $10.99/month
- Portuguese Plus: 3 channels, $14.99/month
- Mundo Plus: 6 channels, $5.99/month
- Fubo Latino: 10 channels, $12.99/month
What to Watch
FuboTV is still a sports focused streaming service, with more sports channels in the basic package than other services at similar price points. Use fuboTV to catch games on your regional sports networks, along with national networks on channels including CBS Sports, Fox Sports, NBA TV, and the NFL Network.
Noticeably missing from the lineup are all ESPN networks. FuboTV still hasn’t partnered with ESPN to bring that fan favorite sports content to its cord cutting service yet.
While sports are always the focus of this service, you’ll also find news, movies, and entertainment channels. Bravo, HGTV, A&E, and BBC America are just a few examples. As we shared earlier, fuboTV recently added Turner channels to its lineup. Now, you can watch TNT, TBS, CNN, Cartoon Network, Adult Swim, truTV, TCM, and HLN with your basic subscription. With a fubo Extra subscription, you’ll also get Boomerang and CNN International.
