Today Apple added a new original documentary series called “Home” to their lineup according to Variety. The show will give an inside look at extraordinary homes from around the world and feature those who built them. Apple has signed on to produce 10 one-hour episodes of Home but no release date has been announced.

“Home” joins a growing lineup of original shows including Reese Witherspoon’s original; show “Are You Sleeping” featuring Octavia Spencer. Apple is also rebooting the Steven Spielberg show “Amazing Stories” and has ordered a sc-fi drama about the global space race from Ronald D. Moore who is best known for his work on Battlestar Galactica, Outlander, Star Trek: TNG, and Star Trek: DS9.

We are not sure exactly how Apple plans to use these new shows. Will they be apart of some new service they are launching or will it join Apple Music as the other Apple original shows have been so far. Yet this new show does not seem to be a fit for their music service unlike the recently canceled Elvis biopic or their Carpool Karaoke show.

For now, we will have to wait and see what happens. The project seems to be in a very early stage and likely won’t come out until late 2018 at the earliest.
