The Fire TV library of apps has been quickly growing to offer a range of apps giving users access to a ton of 100% free content; however, many of the apps are not video apps, so it can be difficult to find good cord cutting apps.
I could tell you my favorite free apps, but maybe the best way to find the best free content is to look at the top 10 most installed free apps on Fire TV.
So here are the top 10 free video Fire TV apps as of August 1, 2016. (Note: These are streaming apps only. No games or weather apps included.)

Biggest Fall
The biggest movers are two drops that probably should not surprise anyone. Both the RNC and DNC convention apps have dropped from even the top 20.
Biggest Jump
The biggest jump was the UFC app, which was not even listed in August and is now the second most popular free app. NBC Sports was also a big jumper. It was not ranked last month but is now in third place.
Overall
Overall sports apps were the biggest movers up the top 10 and news dropped across the board. It will be interesting to see if news apps jump back up as the election approaches or if football will keep pushing sports up on the Fire TV.
