Big Movers This Month

The big shock this month was The Roku Channel at 5th place. After only being released a few months ago it has skyrocketed past many of its competitors and landed in the top 10. Roku seems to be on to something with their free movie and TV show streaming service that is reportedly getting ready to expand to other devices.

The biggest fall was PBS as they once again dropped out of the top 10.

Maybe PBS fell after people find out that a lot of the content requires a $60 a year donation to view.

We still get plenty of PBS programming for free on the app. Five dollars per month to be able to access their entire catalog is a great deal. It’s not much different than the network TV apps that give you some programming for free, but you need to pay for a subscription TV service to get more content.
