My Top 10 Must Have Roku Channels for May 2017

Roku has a huge library of streaming services with over 5,000 Roku Video Channels; however, it can be difficult to find the great free apps. If you are only thinking of cable channels, you will quickly find out most of their content requires a cable subscription. (Makes sense, after all they are cable channels.)

Yet if you look around there are a ton of free ways to watch a ton of great content, but they are likely names you have never heard of. There are also many great paid services that you may not know.

So here are my top 5 free streaming services and my top 5 paid streaming services on Roku that you may not know about. (So don’t expect well-known services such as Netflix on this list.)

At least they offer it. No other network does.

When CBS All Access first came out and it had success, I was concerned that CBS would get greedy and demand such a high amount to be on OTT services that no one would be able to carry them.

Since that does not seem to be an issue, then I think having their own app is great.

    this isn’t a “review”–it’s an advertisement…

the copy is the ad copy used by the channels, themselves

apparently, this site cannot be trusted for a fair, impartial article

At no point in this story did we say this was a review. We put this in the Blog section not the review section of the site. This is just a list of Roku Channels I personally recommend.

We have several main sections on this site. Firs is NEWS an area you can find news coverage, Next we have How To’s an area we help people find what they want or show something interesting, followed by reviews that area we do reviews of devices and services. Lastly we have the blog this is just my personal opinions and thoughts that are not news or reviews.

This was put under the Blog section and at no point did it say anything about this being a review.

I worry that if CBS has success with charging for access, then the other networks will stop free access and start charging for what they provide now for free.
