Tubi grew to 33 million active users in August, a 65% increase year over year, a new record for the free streaming service. The service has reached over 200 million hours streamed each month since April.
With Tubi, viewers can browse categories including Westerns, Classics, Reality TV, Thrillers, and more. Tubi also launched a Tubi Kids section last year. The section is full of kid friendly content, with plenty of titles to keep kids happy and give parents peace of mind that the content in the section is age appropriate.
“Tubi’s surge in viewership is a testament to 2020 becoming the year of AVOD,” said Farhad Massoudi,” CEO of Tubi. “As we further grow our offering and capitalize on our partnership across FOX’s IP, we continue to develop a unique value proposition for many of today’s households seeking cost-free premium entertainment.”
Tubi is available on the web at tubi.tv and on Android and iOS mobile devices, Amazon Echo Show, Google Nest Hub Max, Comcast Xfinity X1, Cox Contour, and on OTT devices such as Amazon Fire TV, Vizio TVs, Sony TVs, Samsung TVs, Roku, Apple TV, Chromecast, Android TV, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4, and Hisense TVs.
