maltese-falcon-still-060615Love classic movies? Turner Classic Movies hopes you will also love their new streaming service.

The new streaming service is a partnership deal between Turner Classic Movies and the Criterion Collection to bring you a range of classic movies from the early 1900s all the way to recent classics. With over 1,000 titles from places like the Janus Films Library many of these films have been unavailable for for streaming or are not even on DVD, making this new service a must-have for classic movie buffs.

This also means the Criterion Collection movies will no longer be available on Hulu as they had been since 2011.

“FilmStruck is a terrific example of our strategy to meet consumer demand for great content across all screens,” John Martin, chief executive of Turner, said in a statement. “It’s tailor-made for the die-hard movie enthusiast that crave a deep, intimate experience with independent, foreign, and art house films. And it takes advantage of TCM’s powerful curation capabilities as well as its proven track record of building a long-term relationship with passionate film fans.”

No exact date or price have been announced but many are expecting this service to be released in the summer of 2016.
