Today Verizon released the Inseego 5G MiFi M100 the first 5G hotspot from Verizon for $650. With this 5G hotspot, you can get a $90 unlimited data plan with 5G. Now the 5G is not unlimited you will be capped at 50GB followed by an additional 15GB of 4G LTE data before you are slowed down even more. If you already have a Verizon phone plan you can add this as a $30 add-on to get 50GB of 5G and 15GB of 4G LTE.

Now, this is not Verizon’s 5G home internet service. That currently costs $50 a month with unlimited 5G internet.

Recently Verizon announced that they are expanding their 5G network into Denver and Providence starting July 1st, 2019 as they work to get 30 markets live with 5G by the end of 2019.

“We said we’d be live with 5G in 30 cities this year, and today, Denver, CO goes live. Providence, RI joins the growing list on this coming Monday. Steve Van Dinter and Andy Choi are in Denver, where they are seeing 2 gigs per second download speeds.” Verizon said in a statement on their website.

According to Verizon, they plan to launch 5G mobile internet in Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Cincinnati, Cleveland, Columbus, Dallas, Des Moines, Denver, Detroit, Houston, Indianapolis, Kansas City, Little Rock, Memphis, Phoenix, Providence, San Diego, Salt Lake City, and Washington DC. It is very likely that some of these cities will be getting 5G home internet also.

Verizon says these markets will get 5G mobile internet and some of them will also get its “5G Home broadband internet service.” Currently, Verizon is selling 5G home internet for $50 a month with no data cap and about 300 Mbps down. Sadly Verizon did not say which of the 20 new markets will be getting 5G home broadband internet service.
