Girl on PhoneEver find yourself with a broken phone frustrated that your replacement plan will take a day or two? It looks like Verizon has heard your concerns and will start to offer same-day phone replacement later this summer.

According to Verizon employees who talked with Cord Cutters News, Verizon will soon update their replacement phone service to offer same-day replacements. You will reportedly be able to walk into any Verizon Wireless store with your broken phone and walk out with a new one. (Assuming they have one in stock.)

No exact date was given for when this change would happen. The Verizon employee we talked to said it will happen in a few weeks. We also could not find out if this would result in a price change for the Verizon phone program.

The wireless phone service market is becoming more competitive. Verizon likely sees same-day phone replacement as a way to stand out from AT&T and T-Mobile.

Would you be more likely to pay for a replacement plan if it offered same-day phone replacement? Leave us a comment and let us know.
