Wander is bringing high speed, affordable internet with no data caps and no hidden fees to homes and apartments in Los Angeles’ Westside.

“We built Wander as a solution to decades of overpriced, complicated broadband models,” said David Fields, Co-Founder & CEO of Wander. “Traditional internet service providers (ISPs) have sold customers on the promise that more speed means better internet. The truth is: you don’t need to pay more for faster speeds, you need better internet service. Whether working from home or streaming TV with the whole family, everyone deserves internet that is reliable and affordable with all the speed they need. Starting in Los Angeles, we’re delivering on a new model for internet service that is seamless and transparent so that people can love their internet again.”

Wander delivers unrestricted broadband at 50 Mbps, which is more speed than subscribers need to power connected homes and families today and into the future. The average household consumed less than 5 Mbps during peak hours of the day in 2017 and is expected to still consume less than 15 Mbps during peak hours by 2022.

In an interview with Cord Cutters News, Fields said that transparency is built into Wander’s business model. Through flat fee pricing, unrestricted broadband access, and no contracts, the company is giving customers the service they want, without the hidden fees and restrictions of traditional internet providers.“With 97% profit margins, it’s no secret that traditional ISPs overcharge and underdeliver,” said Eric Bender, Wander investor and Co-Founder of Wilcon, a leading fiber service provider recently acquired by Crown Castle. “Wander’s unique and affordable model is bringing next generation internet to an industry that has relied on dated technology, outrageous and unexpected fees and poor customer service. I’m excited to be supporting Wander as a pioneering internet provider that is equally focused on building a happy customer base.”

As a former senior analyst at Disney, Fields knows that customer satisfaction is the key to a successful company. From a user-friendly app where customers can monitor their internet use and resolve performance issues to easy to reach customer service, Wander is keeping customers in mind in every detail.  (And, yes, the Wander team is just as excited about Disney+ as we are.)Wander launched in Van Nuys in early September and starting today, is available in Santa Monica. Founded as a community-driven business, Wander plans to expand its services across the United States based on subscriber demand through signups and targeting areas that lack affordable, customer-centric options.
