Today, Wander, a high speed internet provider, announced that it will provide free internet for families within the Santa Monica-Malibu Unified School District (SMMUSD) through the remainder of the school year. In partnership with the SMMUSD and Santa Monica Education Foundation, Wander will bring internet access to students while schools are closed and work at home mandates are in place throughout California.

In a continued effort to keep both employees and customers safe, Wander is taking all necessary precautions and abiding by CDC guidelines during installs. A local team is also working to ensure that home internet in the area is optimized so that all devices for work, school, and entertainment will work together and stream seamlessly during a time of increased usage.

Santa Monica families with school-age-children (K-12) that are within Wander’s coverage area are eligible to receive free high-speed internet service through the end of the scheduled school year, June 10, 2020.
