HBO Max’s deal with WarnerBros to premiere films simultaneously with their theatrical release seems to be paying off. Tom & Jerry, the latest WB film to drop on the streamer, has already pulled in viewership from 1.2 million households since its release last weekend.

According to Samba TV, the most views came in on Saturday with 550K US households streaming the new remake of the animated classic., while 408k households watched on Friday night when it was released.

Wonder Woman 1984 has been HBO Max’s most successful WB film so far with 2.2 million viewers streaming the Gal Gadot movie its opening weekend over Christmas. Tom & Jerry seems to be on par with other more standard levels of viewership we can expect from theatrical releases on the streamer like Denzel Washington’s The Little Things which garnered 1.4 million views its opening weekend.

Tom & Jerry made $13.7 million at the box office its first weekend.
