Regular CBS will be showing the premiere before it goes to CBS All Access only. So if you have a service that offers CBS or get it OTA you can watch Star Trek Discovery as well.

    • Vegas Steve September 24, 2017 at 4:52 pm #

Right, the first episode only though, then it goes exclusive all access.

If you don’t have live tv just watch it the next day. Like Hulu plus, or if you buy season pass from Amazon you get it the next day. No big deal

    • Vegas Steve September 24, 2017 at 4:55 pm #

Not seeing a season pass on Amazon. Maybe it will show up after the show starts, but not yet.

      • Donna September 24, 2017 at 5:30 pm #

I was justifying the waiting till the next day, not that CBS was letting Amazon broadcast their show. You have to purchase CBS AllAccess to be able to watch the show. Sorry I didn’t make my self clear.

        • Vegas Steve September 24, 2017 at 9:36 pm #

NP. I just didn’t understand the reference. Clear now!

  3. Brian Hartsfield September 24, 2017 at 3:15 pm #

CBS has stated episode 1 will be available on on-access at 8:30 as well so even if you don’t have live TV in your area you should be able to catch both episodes tonight on all access

    • Daniel Darnell September 24, 2017 at 5:34 pm #

Thank god, I’m not in a live market and I thought you had to be to see the premiere at least!

  4. TaiPeng September 24, 2017 at 4:09 pm #

I prefer the Orville. I won’t be watching.

    • Marvin Carter September 24, 2017 at 5:10 pm #

They changed the day the show will air. The show airs on Thursday now.

      • TaiPeng September 24, 2017 at 5:11 pm #

I know. I got it on iTunes.

  5. David Batten September 24, 2017 at 4:56 pm #

Like it’s really going to air at 8:30 (on time) on CBS when it is preceded by a freaking NFL game!
Anyone planning to DVR the show, better pad the recording by at least an hour or record the show after.
NFL games NEVER end on time!

    • Vegas Steve September 24, 2017 at 9:33 pm #

We don’t have that problem on the West Coast! Although I do remember it from when I was back East. 😉

  6. HeyRadar September 24, 2017 at 7:10 pm #

I say we all boycott it to show CBS that we’re not going to settle for their pricing CBSAA plan.

  7. icwhatudidthere September 24, 2017 at 10:53 pm #

This show being on CBS All Access just kills it for me. It was decent enough that I’d probably watch, but I’m not subscribing to yet another service just to watch one show. There’s not another single show I’d watch on CBSAA.

  8. DonJ1973 September 24, 2017 at 11:34 pm #

I have CBS AA (binge watch a lot of CBS away from home) and I saw the 1st 2 episodes tonight. Pretty awesome. Incredible special effects and I like the characters. Just skip 4 medium lunches at Carl’s/Hardees or any fast food joint in 1 month, which can cost close to $10. There you go, you magically have 4 months of payments for this, which is an entire season…LOL

    • c_hack September 25, 2017 at 2:39 pm #

Or just not eat at all and sell your house so you can afford to pay $6 for each and every show that you want to watch. Yeah, in our house we DVR 50+ different shows, plus watch news, sports, weather, movies. If I paid $6 each I’m out >$500 a month.

Few people in their right mind will pay CBS $6 a month for one show and the privilege to watch more commercials. All the other CBS junk is already on cable, or Hulu, or DirecTV.

  9. Rob P. September 25, 2017 at 1:10 pm #

I love Star Trek, but I will not be paying CBS a monthly fee to watch it. I will wait until the season ends and pay for one month to watch them all and then cancel. Then do the same for next season.

  10. NotMyCombOver September 25, 2017 at 1:44 pm #

I can think of a couple of other ways to watch it….free ways.
