The free streaming service STIRR has a lineup of baseball content for the weekend and it all starts tonight.

Note: this is a sponsored post. All baseball opinions are our own, but we won’t judge you for cheering for the wrong team.

Here’s some of the content you’ll see over the next few days, in addition to MLB stats airing continuously on SportsGrid.

  • Burn the Ships is a documentary about players in an established but little-known women’s professional softball league as they struggle to earn their livelihood and pursue their athletic dreams, often facing the vexing decision to focus on one aspiration or the other.
  • Calvin Marshall is a 2009 coming of age-comedy about a determined but talentless college student who dreams of playing baseball but finds his true calling instead.
  • Fastball is a documentary narrated by Kevin Costner, leads a cast of baseball legends & scientists who explore the magic within the 396 milliseconds it takes a fastball to reach home plate.
  • Jackie Robinson Story is a 1950 biopic directed by Alfred E. Green and starring Jackie Robinson as himself. The film focuses on Robinson’s struggle with the abuse of bigots as he becomes the first African-American Major League Baseball player of the modern era.
  • Joe Torre Curveballs Along the Way is based on a true story of Joe Torre’s career as a ballplayer and manager who would take the Yankees all the way to a World Series Championship.
  • Long Time Coming takes place in 1955, when racial segregation is rampant in the South, as two groups of 12-year-old boys step onto a baseball field in an act of cultural defiance.
  • Past the Bleachers is the story of a mysterious mute boy who enables a Little League coach to come to terms with the loss of his son.
  • Ponchao tells a story of Alex Ramirez, destined to become the greatest baseball player ever – and he’ll do anything to make it. But the road to success proves troublesome and hilariously unpredictable.
