Comcast is Bringing Data Caps to Northeast States

In addition to price hikes, Comcast is also extending its data caps to cover the Northeast region. Data caps have existed in other areas Comcast operates in, but the Northeast — where Comcast competes with Verizon’s Fios service — will be joining the party during a three-month period starting in January 2021.

Taylor Swift’s ‘Folklore’ Concert Film Premieres on Disney+

Taylor Swift surprised fans this week by announcing a concert film would debut exclusively on Disney+. Folklore: The Long Pond Studio Session premiered on Nov. 25th and is currently available to watch on the streaming service.

Netflix Will Officially Be ‘Out Of Office’ on December 31

We knew the end was coming, but Netflix has made it official: The Office will be leaving the streaming service on Dec. 31 and then heading to its new home on the Peacock streaming service. The show has long been a popular choice on Netflix, but the current licensing deal was set to expire at the end of the year, and a move was expected.

AMC+ Joins The Roku Channel’s Premium Subscriptions

AMC Networks’ new streaming service, AMC+, has joined The Roku Channel as part of the service’s Premium Subscriptions. The $8.99/month service offers a seven-day free trial.

Nexstar, one of the largest local station owners in the country, is threatening to pull its channels from Dish if the two can’t come to an agreement on new rates. Nexstar is reportedly seeking more than $1 billion in fees for its channels and pulling them could result in the largest-ever TV station blackout.
