This week, Disney unleashed a multi-hour torrent of news during its Investor Day event. Elsewhere, AT&T sold off popular anime streaming service Crunchyroll, and Amazon started rolling out an updated Fire TV user interface. ViacomCBS also improved the kids and family experience on its CBS All Access service. Overall, a pretty busy week indeed.

Disney’s New Streaming Bundle Coming Soon

Among the many, many nuggets of info from Disney’s Investor Day event this week, the company announced a new streaming bundle option. This new package combines Disney+, ESPN+, and the ad-free tier of Hulu for $18.99 per month. The company says it should be available in January.

Price Hikes Coming to Disney+ in March 2021

After listing a ton of new shows and movies scheduled for release in the coming years, Disney also mentioned a price hike is coming soon to Disney+. The standalone price will jump to $7.99 per month, while the bundle with ESPN+ and the ad-supported Hulu plan will rise to $13.99 per month. The increases are expected in March 2021.

You Can Access ESPN+ Content From the Hulu App

Disney also shared that ESPN+ content will be available directly from the Hulu app. The move gives the Hulu app more direct access to sports-focused content and potentially saves users a few steps.
