Cutting the cable connection to coax connector illustrating retired people cancelling cable TV serviceIf you have joined our weekly Q&A the last few weeks you may have heard us talk about our new office. Today I am excited to give you a tour of our new offices.

Here is your first look at the new Cord Cutters News HQ:

So why the move?

I’m sure many people reading this are wondering why we made this into a new office. In short, Cord Cutters News has grown to the point where no one person can manage it by themselves, which is preventing me from taking the site to the next level.

The truth is over a year ago Cord Cutters News outgrew my ability to manage on my own. At first, I started adding some freelance help. I signed on with a company to help manage the site and added guest writers in an effort to help spread around the work.

Now, once again, Cord Cutters News has grown and it has once again grown beyond my ability to manage. With millions of readers and some days over 300 messages from readers pouring in it was time to look at ways to manage the growth.

The first step to managing this growth is moving out of my house and into an office. This will help me focus better and allow us to have a full review lab to speed up the turnaround of reviews.

The second step is to bring in some full-time help. With the new office, I now have space to bring in some new help to take away much of the back-end work that it takes to run a site like this: paying bills, answering phones, managing posts, etc. Look for an announcement in the next few weeks about a new full-time employee at Cord Cutters News.

So, what is next?

Now that we are finally in the new office, keep an eye out for new features on the site and more content on our YouTube account.

With the growth of cord cutting comes a growth in the number of reviews and new stories we want to produce. This new office will allow us to produce this content far faster without the limitations we had in the old space.

Over the last few years, Cord Cutters News has seen great growth, and we want to be ready to help future cord cutters as we did in the past. This new office will give us the space and staff to help grow the site.

Cost

As with all things the cost of moving into the office ended up being higher than expected. Some unexpected costs popped up, and it took a bit longer than planned to get into the office.

If you would like to help CCN with the new office consider visiting the site without using ad blockers or consider donating $1 or more a month through our Patreon to help keep the site going strong. That amount may not seem like a lot, but it really adds up.

Once again, thank you for your support of CCN. Never could I have dreamed that this site would become so big.
