Westinghouse Announces a New Line of 4K Android TV Powered Smart TV

Last night Westinghouse Electronic announced a new line of Android TV-powered smart 4K Ultra HD televisions. This new line of Smart TVs is powered by Android TV and includes features like voice search along with Google Cast.

Westinghouse’s new Android 4K Ultra HD TVs will be available in Q2 2018 and come in sizes ranging from 43” to 65” starting at $349.99.

Last night Cord Cutters News got a first-hand look at the new Westinghouse and here is what we learned:

At this time the new Android TV smart TVs will use the same remote as their Fire TV line of Smart TVs. Here is an image we took at CES of the new remote:

One thing to note is at this time there is no Amazon Video support on the Westinghouse line of Android TV. With that said Amazon does have an Android TV version of their Amazon Video app in the Google Play Store but has not made it public. Hopefully, that will happen soon.

Highlights:

“We’re thrilled to introduce a smart TV that gives consumers exactly what they want – more time
enjoying content, less time browsing,” said Brett Hunt, vice president of sales and marketing,
Westinghouse Electronics. “Whether you’re a movie buff, a gamer, a sports fanatic or a music lover,
the Westinghouse Android 4K Ultra HD TV will deliver a tailored content experience
based on your unique interests. Simply use Voice Search to ask for exactly what you want, or
pick a personalized recommendation from Android TV on your home screen.”
