With so many streaming services to choose from, a decision about which to subscribe to will come down to the details. Which channels, features, and price point do the services have that make one a better option than the rest? We’re here to share the facts to help you make your choice.

In this post, we’re answering some of the common questions you might have about PlayStation Vue.

What is PlayStation Vue?

PlayStation Vue is Sony’s content streaming service. You don’t need a PlayStation game console to subscribe or watch content (although the streaming service is compatible with PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 consoles.)

With a subscription, you can watch up to 85+ live TV channels including local news and sports. PlayStation Vue also has an on-demand library loaded with shows and movies.

How Much Does It Cost?

You’ll have four options to choose from when signing up for a PlayStation Vue subscription.

  • Access for $44.99/month
  • Core for $49.99/month
  • Elite for $59.99/month
  • Ultra for $79.99/month

How Can I Watch?

PlayStation Vue works with the following devices:

  • PlayStation 4 consoles
  • PlayStation 3 consoles
  • Roku Players and TVs (firmware 7.7 and up)
  • Apple TV (4th gen running tvOS 11.0 and up)
  • Android TV (all gens)
  • Amazon Fire TV
  • Most recent version of Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Microsoft Edge
  • iOS devices (iOS 9 or higher)
  • Android phones and tablets (Android OS version 5.0 or higher)
  • Fire HD6 tablets and above
  • Google Chromecast (1st gen and up)

Within 30 days of signing up, be sure to sign in at your home zip code. That’s how you’ll get access to your live local channels. After signing in at your zip code, you’ll be able to watch those local channels wherever you’re at when you sign into your PlayStation Vue account.
