In this post, we’re answering some of the basic questions about Pluto TV.

What is Pluto TV?

Viacom purchased Pluto in March and the streaming service has since reached over 15 million active users.

How Much Does It Cost?

What Channels Will I Get?

Pluto have a large and interesting mix of channels. You’ll find well-known titles along with shows and movies you’ve likely never heard of.

On the grid guide, channels are grouped based on genre. Browse channels in categories including Movies, Entertainment, News, Binge Watch, Comedy, Sports, Explore, Life + Style, Tech + Geek, Kids, Latino, and Music. Within those genres, you’ll find channels including CNN, Cheddar News, Logo, People TV, Nick, and CMT Westerns.

An area where Pluto stands out is the very specific and limited time channels. These tend to come out when the streaming service is promoting a new season of a show or an upcoming movie. They include channels like MTV The Hills and 24/7 Dora the Explorer. Pluto has added over 19 of these channels this summer alone, with new channels being added frequently.

Pluto also recently developed its first original program, Bajillion Dollar Propertie$ – which Pluto purchased the rights to after NBC’s comedy streaming service Seeso shut down.

You can find a PDF of the pre-Viacom channels here. However, channels are being added consistently, so visit the Pluto TV website for the full channel lineup.

Can I Record Content?

Pluto TV does not currently have a Cloud DVR option.

Can I Watch on More Than One Screen At Once?

Yes. Pluto TV does not require a subscription or a log-in, so you can watch on as many screens as you want.
