When Will Disney+ Be Available on Roku, Fire TV, Apple TV, & More? You Asked We Answer

Disney+ logoDuring the Q4 earnings call on Thursday, Disney confirmed that Disney+ will be available on the following devices:

  • Roku
  • PlayStation 4
  • Fire TV
  • Apple TV
  • Android
  • iOS
  • Chromecast
  • Xbox
  • Samsung Smart TVs
  • LG Smart TVs

According to Amazon and other sources, the Disney+ app will not be available on these devices until launch day, November 12. When the app launches, download it in the Apple App Store, the Google Play Store, the Roku Channel Store, Amazon, and the Microsoft Store. Sadly it looks like you won’t be able to pre-load the app on your favorite streaming player.

First, though you will want to make sure you have an account by visiting Disney+’s website HERE.

Disney has said that in addition to being available through the App Store, Apple TV app users will also be able to subscribe to Disney+ through the app, allowing Apple to take their standard commission from the sale.

While many compatible devices were list early on in Disney+ announcements, there was some reported arguing between Amazon and Disney that delayed any news about the app coming to Fire TV devices. During the earnings call, CEO Bob Iger made the official announcement that Disney+ will be available Amazon Fire TV devices.

Disney has hinted that support for additional devices will be coming in the future.
