With the release of three new Fire TV Insignia Smart TVs from Best Buy, smart TVs have been the focus of Amazon’s devices designed for content streaming. However, if you aren’t in the market for a completely new TV, Amazon’s other Fire TV devices can give you everything you need. The question is which one should you choose?

In today’s post, we’re looking at three Amazon Fire TV devices: the Fire TV Stick, Fire TV Stick 4K, and Fire TV Cube.

Fire TV Stick

Amazon’s basic streaming device is the Fire TV Stick. At $39.99, it’s also the most affordable option. Designed to be small enough to use at home or away, the stick still has everything you need to stream content easily as soon as you’re connected to WiFi.

The device comes with the original Alexa Voice Remote. Use the remote to control your videos as you watch, and use voice commands to do everything from searching for content to ordering a pizza. As apps continue to make updates allowing for more voice control, you’ll be able to do it all with your Alexa Voice Remote.

Fire TV Stick 4K

The two major differences between the basic Fire TV Stick and the Fire Stick 4K are the picture quality and the upgraded remote. The 4K version also comes with a slightly higher price tag at $49.99.

While the basic Fire TV Stick offers picture quality up to 1080p, the upgraded version of the device works with 4K Ultra HD, HDR, HDR 10, Dolby Vision, HLG, and HDR 10+.

The new Alexa Voice Remote offers more control over what you’re watching. Extra buttons on the new remote allow you to increase volume, decrease volume, and mute your device. You can still use voice commands to control your device and do everything you’d normally do with Alexa.

With the minimal price jump and major upgrade in video quality, moving up to the Fire Stick 4K is worth the cost for most cord cutters.

Fire TV Cube

Amazon’s newest streaming device is the Fire TV Cube. Now available for pre-order, the Cube will cost $119.99.

The Cube is designed to give you full hands free control of your devices from anywhere in the room. With 8 microphones and the technology to pick up your voice from a farther range, you can find content, control your TV volume, and play your favorite music wherever you are.

With Alexa built into the device, you can do more than just stream content. Connect your smart devices throughout your home, then use Alexa to turn on lights, adjust the temperature, and make calls. The Fire TV Cube makes the Echo unnecessary, so if you were considering the Echo, you might want to wait for the Cube instead.

The Fire TV Cube comes with the upgraded Alexa Voice Remote. The device also has built in speakers and Dolby Atmos Audio.
