One of the big reasons that many people choose to keep cable instead of cutting the cord is that they want to watch their favorite sports teams. While it’s true that streaming games can be trickier than watching on cable, it is possible.

Below, we’re sharing how to watch nationally televised games, games airing only on regional sports networks, and games on local channels, all without cable.

Nationally Televised Games

Streaming subscribers can watch nationally televised games with a live TV streaming service.

Regional Sports Networks (RSNs)

If you want access to your local sports networks such as Bally Sports or NBC Sports, we have good news for you. YouTube TVHulufuboTV, and DIRECTV STREAM all offer local sports channels – just not all of them. DIRECTV STREAM has most RSNs and the rest have a smattering of different regional sports networks. Be sure to visit the site for the service you’re interested in and add your zip code to see exactly which channels are available in your area.

While some streamers choose to use a VPN to change their location and access channels normally unavailable in their area, it’s worth noting that the use of a VPN may go against the terms of service of some streamers.

Here’s where you’ll find every RSN.

Sports on Local Channels

Many of the biggest sporting events every year are 100% free on ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC. A good antenna will give you these channels without the need to pay for anything. Not sure what antenna you should get? Check out Antenna Web and type in your address to see what kind of antenna you will need.

If you can’t get the locals you want for free, check out Sling TVHuluYouTube TVfubo TV, or DIRECTV STREAM to see if they offer them in your area.
