YouTube TV is embracing October by sharing some of their favorite tricks and a few new treats. Today, YouTube TV is introducing an update that will change how you watch recorded content. The update allows viewers to pause, rewind, and fast forward during recordings, including ads.

Another new feature will help you enjoy your favorite sports teams to the fullest. From the league or team page, turn on the feature called “Hide all scores for this team/league” to prevent any spoilers from showing up in updates and previews.

If you’ll be watching the games live, be sure to personalize your Live Guide to include your favorite sports channels. You can update your guide to show and hide any of the 60+ live channels offered by YouTube TV so you’ll see your favorites as soon as you log in.

To customize your viewing experience, even more, YouTube TV now has the option of a Dark Theme. Use it to back the background dark while streaming on a desktop to cut down on glare and enhance the video.

One last update is the ability to now use YouTube TV with Google Home. Connect your devices then give Google commands like playing new episodes, pausing your show, or fast-forwarding through your recorded content.

Along with some of the tricks we’ve already learned about YouTube TV, like setting up accounts for up to 5 people so everyone can customize their own content and getting recommendations based on content you’ve already watched, these new features will give YouTube TV viewers an even better streaming experience.
