YouTube TV Announces a Fix For Known Issues on The Nvidia Shield

For some time now YouTube has been battling playback and DVR issues with tis app on the Nvidia Shield. This week Google announced on Reddit a fix that should address issues with YouTube TV on the Nvidia Shield.

Here is the update Google posted on Reddit:

UPDATED 2019/8/5

NVIDIA SHIELD

    • Playback of live/DVR sometimes immediately fails. We’re currently investigating this, no root cause identified yet.
      • Status:Fix will be in the next release, for realsies this time.

If have an Nvidia Shield and are having issues with YouTube TV hang in there a fix is coming soon.

One of the best things about YouTube TV is the fact that the team behind it have openly address issues with the service. When most streaming services and app maker overall try to pretend that issues do not exists YouTube has aggressively communicated when they found issues with their app.
