Today YouTube TV announced that they have hired Lori Conkling as the head of partnerships for YouTube TV and Google Fiber. Lori Conkling was the former head of NBCUniversal digital. Before that she lead The Walt Disney Company streaming negotiations. Lori Conkling also as experience working at Lifetime Networks and A+E Networks.

According to YouTube, Conkling will be a lead representative for YouTube TV to the industry. It is likely hoped that she will be able to help YouTube TV maintain and strike new content deals.

Recently it was reported that YouTube TV has topped 1 million subscribers. This would make YouTube TV the fourth-largest streaming service behind Sling TV at 2.3 million, Hulu at a reported 2 million subscribers, and DIRECTV NOW at 1.7 million.

This puts YouTube TV ahead of the reportedly 600,000 to 700,000 PlayStation Vue subscribers and 250,000 subscribers of fuboTV. Other services like Philo have not released official subscriber counts.
