For over a week now we have been getting reports of an issue with YouTube TV and their Apple TV app. Reports have been flying in of YouTube TV having poor streaming quality and other issues. Reports like these:
@CordCuttersNews did you know @YouTubeTV is not streaming correctly using a Apple TV 4K? Streaming is down to 240p.

Seriously @YouTubeTV that charger drive was basically unwatchable quality. @CordCuttersNews #youtubetv #SundayNightFootball https://t.co/pBGPlwaSQo

Now YouTube TV has acknowledged the issue and has announced that they are working on a fix.
Our engineers are working hard on a fix, but don’t have an exact ETA yet. Appreciate your patience in the meantime.

For now, the issue seems limited to the Apple TV version of their app. Roku and Android TV players are still streaming YouTube TV in HD quality without issues. Often when issues like this pop up just finding what caused the glitch can take longer than fixing it. Hopefully
So for everyone asking the good news is YouTube knows about it but the bad news is we have no date for when it will be fixed.
