Ever wish you could watch YouTube TV as you looked at Facebook or checked email on the iPad. As of today, you can do just that with the addition of Split View on the iPad for YouTube TV.

Earlier today YouTube TV on the iPad rolled out a new update including Split Screen. The new 2.29 update rolled out today with the following update notes from the iTunes listing:

Split view is here for iPad users – rejoice, multitaskers.

Plus, regular bug fixes and all that other stuff.

Split View as wadded to the iPad in 2017 and lets you run two apps side by side. (Something most Android and Windows tablets have done for years.) This means you can use other apps as you watch YouTube TV. Exactly how it works is unknown right now as we don’t have an iPad here in the office to test it. Have you tested out the new feature yet? Leave us a comment and let us know how it works for you.
