woman on tabletAre you a YouTube TV subscriber who uses an iPhone or iPad? You may have noticed an update today that fixes several annoying bugs including the fast forward bug. With this iOS update to version 3.49.2 you will find that the fast forward bug has now been fixed as well as several smaller updates. Sadly YouTube TV only says they have updated the app for “Bug fixes and stability improvements” but our readers say the update also improves the ability to fast forward more than 15 seconds.

Over the last few days, iOS users would find themselves unable to fast forward more than 15 seconds without it stopping. A few days ago a YouTube TV engineer commented on Reddit saying that YouTube TV is “respinning a build with a fix for this now. Should start phased release soon….” now it seems that update has rolled out.

The YouTube TV team has also announced that they will be improving the DVR soon. According to a post on Reddit from a YouTube TV engineer, the streaming service YouTube TV will soon be adding the ability to mark something as watched so you no longer have to see it recommended.

Many still hope that YouTube TV will add the ability to pick just one program to record. For now, though, with YouTube TV recording every program of a show or sporting event, the ability to mark a program as watched is a huge step in the right direction.
