This week YouTube TV emailed subscribers about a new YouTube TV notification option. Now if you ask YouTube TV to remind you of a game, show, or event, it will send you a notification to your mobile device when the game, show, or event is about to start.
In the email to subscribers YouTube TV says:
Now you can make sure you never miss a kickoff, tip-off, puck drop, or opening scene. This new feature lets you receive a notification when a live broadcast begins. Use the bell button on any show, team, or event screen to get started.
This option is currently only available on Android and iOS mobile apps.
The feature is a great idea to help subscribers make sure they don’t miss their favorite shows, games, or events.
This is an option you set, so have no fear of being flooded with notifications for shows, movies, or events you are not interested in.
